We are looking for Customer Service Officers to join our Customer Experience team at London St Pancras station!
Our amazing Customer Service Officers have such an important role at the station. Not only are they our customers point of contact for any queries and advice, they are also Safety Critical members of staff that are responsible for dispatching our trains from the platform.
As a Customer Service Officer, you will work hard to ensure safe and prompt dispatch of all services.
The key focus of this role is to maintain a high level presence on the station. You will be directing and assisting customers as necessary, providing exceptional customer service at all times, this is on the good days and during times of disruption and busy periods.
As a Customer Service Officer you will demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills along with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
A working knowledge of Railway Rules and Regulations would be an advantage, but a positive attitude is essential. You do not need to have previous experience working within the railway industry, all the safety critical training is provided to the successful candidates! We are looking for hard working, pro-
active and positive people to join our team.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a safety critical medical and drug screening. An element of the safety critical medical is the satisfactory completion of a railway standard colour vision tests.

The selection process :

Stage 1 - Psychometric Test Day - 20th September 2018 in Derby (free train travel will be provided)
Candidates will need to book on to one of the following time slots
10.00, 14.00 or 17.00 (you'll be with us no longer than 2 hours)
Psychometric tests : The session will consist of two tests (concentration and safety), both of which must be successfully passed in order to be progressed through to the assessment day.
PLEASE NOTE : these are the ONLY available dates for testing to take place.
Stage 2 - The Assessment Day - Thursday 27th September 2018 in Leicester (free train travel will be provided)
Candidates that pass stage 1 testing will be invited to attend an assessment day in Leicester. The day will be super fun and consist of a mixture of group exercises and individual tasks.
We will be looking for passionate, energetic, customer focused individuals on the day.
For those that pass the assessment day : If we find more than one fantastic candidate, the more the better! We will place all of the successful candidates in our Talent Pool for future Customer Service Officer roles.
Candidates will stay in the Talent Pool for a maximum of 12 months and during that 12 months, you will not need to apply for this particular role again! As and when we have Customer Service Officer vacancies arise, we will be in a position to pick up the phone and make a job offer! -
