Role :

The Parts and Accessories Section Manager will be responsible for delivering the detailed analysis, sales strategy and pricing policy that ensures our objectives are achieved for Parts and Accessories across the Car and Motorcycle divisions.

Managing a team of Business Analysts and Trade Development Managers, this role will have day to day responsibility for the turnover and gross profit for Parts and Accessories across the Car and Motorcycle divisions.

The analysis team’s expertise will be required to provide support for all three divisions.

This associate will be a pivotal link within the Customer and Aftersales department, the dealer network and the area field team for the Automotive and Motorcycle product groups.

Reporting to the Parts Operations Department Manager, this role demands a strong commercial understanding, excellent relationship building skills and clear analytical thought processes.

With a sales budget of over £100m, the role is highly visible and key to Honda’s continued Aftersales success.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Manage, lead, motivate and develop the Parts Analysis team to include completion of team appraisals, training and development and succession planning over the whole department.
  • Own’ the sales and gross profit targets for Car Parts and Accessories. Manage a daily reporting process that accurately captures and communicates progress towards monthly and annual targets.
  • Work closely with colleagues, dealers and suppliers to deliver sales growth.

  • Utilisation of market analysis to help develop strategic direction that supports business plans. Plan and implement product ranges to fulfil product launches and customer requirements.
  • Liaise with HUK Sales and Product Planning on integration of Accessories in new car sales activity.

  • Through effective management of the Business Analysis team, deliver high quality analysis of business trends through a rigorous and comprehensive Continuous Improvement process and understand current market conditions, including competitor activity, to contribute to the development of an effective Aftersales strategy.
  • Manage Honda’s Parts and Accessories competitive pricing policy, including an internal competitive pricing matrix, in conjunction with Honda Europe and Honda Accessories Europe, to deliver customer satisfaction, dealer profitability and Honda UK’s commercial objectives.
  • Ensure Parts & Accessories pricing is updated with Honda UK (HUK) and Dealer systems in a timely manner to support new product launches and cyclical price changes.
  • Liaise closely with Marketing and the Retention Team to deliver tactical and strategic activities. In conjunction with HUK Marketing, deliver all necessary marketing and support material to ensure sufficient customer product awareness for both Dealer and end consumer.
  • Maintain strong communications with the dealer network and field teams to understand customer requirements. Promote merchandising products, in conjunction with the current supplier, to enhance the Honda Brand for business and retail customers.
  • Qualifications, skills and experience required :

  • Graduate or equivalent experience
