Why this role matters

BT Fleet Solutions procures vehicles on behalf of BT Plc, which are financed from capital or external funding (via operating lease).

With a fleet of c.35k vehicles comprising c.30k commercial vehicles and c.5k company cars, it is one of the largest fleets in operation in the UK.

As part of the delivery of the vehicles to the businesses within the BT Group, the post holder will administer all aspects of external funding via a competitive panel solution.

What you'll be doing

  • End to end management of a vehicle lease from proposal, in-life management and concluding the end of life transactions.
  • Formulating a proposal of new vehicles to be funded, tendering the funding requirement to panel of funders, and concluding submissions with a management summary and recommendation of proposed funder for each month.
  • Processing new business according to contractual terms and timelines
  • Recording, monitoring and reconciling vehicle rental charges from external funding providers
  • Processing end of life transactions to include residual value payments, early terminations and administering lease extensions
  • Monitoring, recording and publishing sales details of leased vehicles in accordance with audit standards
  • Reconciling the profit and loss share agreement in place with the funding panel
  • Compilation, justification and input of month end accounting journals in accordance with applicable accounting policies
  • Administration and maintenance of the leased vehicle register to agreed internal and external audit standards
  • Management of an existing panel of funders and introducing new funders to the panel where required
  • Input into adhoc projects as required which utilise lease funding knowledge
  • We'll also need to see these on your CV

  • Finance qualification AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA (or equivalent) preferable but not essential
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to drive accuracy of data capture
  • Attention to detail, working with large volumes of data
  • Ability to deliver objectives to challenging timeframes
  • Ability to manage key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of vehicle / asset funding and leasing processes preferable but not essential
  • Vehicle industry knowledge preferable
