We are seeking an experienced National Supplier Manager to join our Pullman Fleet Services business.Base location is flexible as the role will involve travel across the UK.
Who are we? Pullman Fleet Services, part of the Wincanton Group, is the largest independent provider of Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Fleet Management in the UK.
We have a national network of over 30 HGV / LCV service centres, over 150 mobile service vans and in excess of 600 trained technicians.
How will you contribute? Accountable for the safe and high quality provision of fleet maintenance related activities to Pullman by the national network of third party suppliers.
Development and delivery of the Pullman supplier management strategy delivering compliance and service delivery at the best possible price.
Provision of a national network of suppliers with the right specialisms and capabilities to meet the changing needs of the Pullman operation.
Ensuring the suppliers responsible for sourcing and provision of vehicle parts meet their parts availability and turnaround time targets.
Working with group procurement functions to continually drive the best value to the business and synergies through the wider purchasing power of the group.
Ensuring all suppliers are compliant with the terms of their individual supply agreements through a structured mechanism of reviews and trackers Ensure all suppliers have signed up to and are performing to the agreed KPIs as set out within the approved Pullman service level agreement.
Performance manage suppliers where relevant and conduct spot checks as appropriate and ensure costs are authorised, accurate and presented within the agreed terms Set out, review and agree rates, leveraging volume and performance to drive reductions in overall spend Support the business development team in third party solution design as a part of new business bids Support the wider Pullman operation in identifying and onboarding appropriate suppliers where fleet mix or new business wins Leading the supplier Management team Liaise with Fleet Engineers, Contract managers, procurement and accounts teams to resolve any supplier issues or concerns Liaise with the Fleet Solutions and Workshop Operations teams to provide expert technical advice and support on the sourcing of fleet maintenance services and vehicle parts.
Ensure CSC and workshop network requirements are fully documented and understood as a part of the identification and onboarding of appropriate suppliers Ensure any specialist terms within agreed supplier SLAs are documented and communicated to all relevant Pullman colleagues What will you bring?
Extensive supplier management experience at a national operation level within the commercial vehicle industry Knowledge of repair times and rates to industry standards Knowledge of major commercial vehicle repair networks and dealers within the UK Legal compliance : HGV operation and maintenance Experience of fleet management, maintenance and workshop operations would be desirable A diverse network of contacts within the UK fleet maintenance industry is beneficial Experience working with or for major commercial vehicle manufacturers is highly advantageous as is experience in transport operations and third-party logistics What do we offer?
