The Functional Consultant is tasked with facilitating requirements gathering sessions to gain an understanding of our customer's current state processes and technology in the CRM space.

In addition, they are expected to support the implementation work that follows. The Functional Consultant will uncover current state pain points and work with their delivery team to design a future state solution and transpose into user stories.

The Functional Consultant is responsible for providing guidance and recommendations as well as sharing best practices across business environments and industries.

  • Build a clear requirement gathering strategy / workshop plan for each customer engagement
  • Lead discovery workshops; facilitate large audience discussions and present solutions
  • Perform rapid analysis and decomposition of complex business information into functional requirements
  • Take ownership of customer processes; analyse and record current state technology and processes
  • Identify and create an inventory of customer process pain points and gaps
  • Organize and drive process reengineering sessions
  • Create future state processes and requirements
  • Perform business process modeling and user experience modeling
  • Synthesize technical and business information and present implementation needs and options confidently.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to advise and present solutions to optimise future processes and solutions
  • Communicate Salesforce’s capabilities and limitations to customers
  • Guide customers and advise on potential solutions for optimising the platform
  • Interpret business strategy roadmaps and apply a detailed solution
  • Build and demo prototypes in Salesforce
  • Liaise with development and quality assurance teams to ensure an optimal solution is delivered according to customer requirements
  • Assist and guide customers during UAT
  • Support and deliver training to specified trainers and end users
  • Provide go-live support for implementations
  • Identify opportunities, occasionally assist pre-sales and support activities
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Functional Practice through engagement with the Centre of Excellence and Discussions groups
  • 2 + years minimum (3+ years preferred) experience as a Business Analyst or similar discipline for a mid-to-large sized organization, or direct consulting expertise leading transformational CRM projects
  • 2+ year of experience with configuration and / or custom development across the suite of Salesforce products
  • Experience implementing the Agile project lifecycles and tools (i.e. SCRUM, user stories, etc.)
  • Experience with configuration and / or custom development across the suite of Salesforce products
  • Competent in business process knowledge and facilitating business discussions
  • Demonstrate product knowledge through customer discussions and demos
  • Strong communication skills including speaking confidently about complex solutions to all levels of an organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or Business related area or equivalent combination of similar education and experience
  • Ability to travel as required
