An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hyphen Law for an ambitious, personable and energetic Solicitor / Legal Executive who wants to be part of the legal team within this expanding company specialising in Court of Protection work and Personal Injury Trusts.
The legal team undertakes a mixture of high value and / or complex deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts with many clients having a brain injury due to accident or clinical negligence.
The company adopt a bespoke and holistic approach.
The successful candidate will support the Director who heads the legal team and other lawyers, they will be responsible for the day to day supervision of more junior staff as well as having the opportunity to bring or to build up their own case load.
The role requires :
Experience of dealing with all aspects of Court of Protection work includingapplications for the appointment of a deputy and statutory Wills and gifts.
Experience of setting up and running personal injury trusts.
Knowledge of relevant tax and trust law.
Knowledge of statutory funding and benefits would also be helpful.
Excellent drafting skills coupled with attention to detail.
Experience of personal injury work and in particular brain and spinal injury and clinical negligence would be an advantage.
An empathic approach to clients in what are often very traumatic circumstances.
Excellent communication skills.
A people person : a team player who is enthusiastic about the role with an outgoing personable nature and an enthusiasm to participate in the Team’s development.
A willingness to be engaged and be proactive in business development, speaking at seminars and other events and writing relevant articles for publication.
This role is based in our Swindon office with occasional travel to other offices required. You will be up to 4 years PQE ideally.
