The Identity Platform handle all identity-related user journeys for all Elsevier products, using industry-standards (Oauth, OIDC etc).
This means signing in and registering, setting up remote access, account settings, migration, and everything else that would otherwise be duplicated across 50+ Elsevier products.
The platform unifies these journeys and makes them simple and consistent for users across all Elsevier sites.
We’re looking for a passionate DBA to work as part of our team, helping to give our customers the best possible online experience and make our Identity platform world class.
Technical Skills :
Passion for all aspects of database administration with proven background in supporting Oracle databases including excellent SQL skills.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with Oracle database problems, including within PL / SQL programmes.
Experience in investigating and resolving performance issues.
Experience of performing maintenance on databases, including upgrades and patches.
Excellent communication skills to ensure clear and concise communication, ensuring that line management and key stakeholders are kept informed of progress, issues and difficulties.
Have a passion for learning new technologies and be willing to lead research in to new or alternative technologies.
Reviews and makes recommendations for upgrades or changes to the database environment.
Engages with technical architects and other senior members of the development teams to provide technical input and guidance as necessary.
