The Role

Fidelity's Workplace Investing Reporting and Analytics chapter is seeking a Principal Data Engineer ( Technical Lead ) to You will work on the Business Intelligence squad within the One Stop Life Shop (OSLS) Tech.

Acceleration product area, sitting at the intersection of our Personal Investments (PI) and Workplace Investments (WI) businesses.

You will help lead the development and deployment of new insights that help Plan Sponsors better understand how OSLS products help their employees, as well as building OSLS-wide technical solutions that accelerate OSLS analytic capabilities.

You will work closely with both PI and WI technology and analytic chapters to participate in the development of an enhanced Data Consumption and Reporting strategy that demonstrates Tableau and PowerBI on Snowflake / AWS.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / similar technical subject area and or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in Data engineering, Data Modeling and Data analysis
  • Extensive experience in delivering AWS data engineering services
  • Experience in Snowflake, Apache Airflow highly preferred
  • Extensive Experience is Pl-SQL and Informatica ETL
  • Experience in OBIEE / Power BI / tableau is a must
  • Tech lead role who will be responsible for managing a team of developer and analysts to deliver business value by coordinating with Architects, Analysts and Product owners
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Strong problem resolution skills required
  • Critical thinking and the ability to work in an agile environment
  • Strong experience in navigating organization structure
  • Strong experience in removing team’s blocker
  • Accountable for consistent delivery of functional software sprint to sprint, release to release
  • Perfection in software development practices and procedures
  • Participates in application level architecture able to drive the solution
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts
  • Responsible for QA readiness of software work you are doing (end-to-end tests, unit tests, automation)
  • Responsible for supporting implementation of initiatives
  • Works on sophisticated assignments and often multiple phases of a project
  • Assists in developing departmental technical policies and procedures
