Regulatory Compliance also facilitates open and transparent relationships with our regulators.The Regulatory Compliance team brings Revolut’s commitment to improving all aspects of finance to risk management.

Join a team that knows that better people and machines are the most effective way of managing conduct risk. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a Regulatory Compliance Manager with expertise in data protection and privacy to join our Regulatory Compliance team.

This individual will work closely with our Group Data Protection Officer to implement our data protection and privacy framework in our UK business.

This will include ensuring we comply with key regulatory requirements in the UK (such as the Data Protection Act and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) in practice and on an ongoing basis, as well as, liaising with the ICO as required. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Informing and advising the business on its obligations under data protection laws, as they impact its activities across all products and business units
  • Implementing and monitoring the UK policies and procedures for all things data protection including : drafting GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 compliant data protection policies, building out processes involving subject access requests, preparing legitimate interest assessments and implementing data breach reporting policies and procedures
  • Inputting into the completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments and other privacy risk assessments to assess the impact of proposed changes to business processes in the UK and agree appropriate mitigating actions with Product Owners
  • Ensuring that Article 30 records of processing are kept up to date
  • Working closely with other Regulatory Compliance Managers legal counsel and the risk team to ensure these policies and procedures are followed in the UK
  • Where required, providing advice on the management and resolution of incidents involving personal data, including advising on decisions as to whether to notify regulatory authorities in the UK
  • Reviewing Revolut’s current data protection policies and procedures and developing effective mitigation actions and controls
  • Responding to enquiries about the Revolut data protection framework raised by external regulators and clients
  • Monitoring and anticipating changes to relevant regulations and guidance and driving changes to policies and data processing to respond to them
  • Leadership of other relevant data protection projects as required
  • Liaising with key internal (e.g. Legal and Risk) and external (e.g. Regulators, advisors, vendors, partners etc) stakeholders as required WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience of GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and PECRs
  • Fluent in English
  • 6+ years experience of data protection compliance advisory work Preferred skills
  • Qualified lawyer (but not a necessity)
  • Experience of working at a professional services firm advising clients or regulators on data protection related matters
  • Experience of advising businesses regulated by the FCA (desirable but not a necessity)
