Amazon is now searching for a new Design Manager to join and our family to deliver the future world-class fulfilment and transportation buildings.

As a Design Manager, you will have the ability to collaborate with a talented and diverse team. You will be working on building alliances between the different elements of the design from engineering, construction and our customers to produce the next generation of fulfilment centres.

With the level of growth ahead, you will need to be passionate about innovation and coaching your team to continuously improve.

You will be asked to develop new initiatives as well as to suggest and carry out practical actions to deal with issues.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage a team of designers who will be responsible for collaborating, controlling and publishing new building layouts
  • Coordinate the design program with all business stakeholders. Creating routine communications on progress and rebalancing team efforts.
  • To understand and develop new working process. Provide technical coaching and guidance for the wider engineering family.
  • Sharing best industry practises and promoting a culture of improvement
  • Developing inter-personal relations with the wider business community to support growth projects together.
  • Simultaneously managing multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with customers, contractors and service providers.
  • To deep dive, suggest and carry out practical actions to deal with issues across the European program
  • Masters degree in Architecture or Engineering (any discipline), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty.
  • Experience with warehouse or large scale building projects.
  • Experience with running multi-project delivery teams
  • Proficiency using business / technical software like MS Excel, MS Project and business reporting systems.
  • Design-in-Safety experience
