What will you be doing?

You will support customers faced with malware, device misconfiguration & email security incidents to ensure that security mitigations are swiftly implemented resulting in customer safety and security online.

The role centres on investigation, analysis and prioritisation of security incident reports with the aim of protecting Virgin Media’s reputation and upholding the optimal customer experience of Virgin Media broadband.

Within Customer Internet Security there are two areas of expertise : Email Security and IoT (Internet of Things) Security.

This role focuses on case management, managing security incident reports and evidence data on a volume basis to automate security solutions.

We continuously adapt and improve how we engage with our customer base to combat a dynamic security threat landscape. Our primary objective is that customers are safe online, are fully satisfied with their experience of Virgin Media broadband and become our best advocates.

Are you right for the role?

So it’s the moment of truth, right? What are we looking for in the successful candidate?

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Able to translate complex technical terms into business language
  • Previous knowledge of home security applications and protocols, such as firewall configuration, anti-malware software and security controls
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a passion to provide top quality security advice and support
  • Strong Planning and Organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task
  • Ability to manage cases end to end alone
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Experience / knowledge of command line e.g. Putty (Preferred)
  • Information security certifications would be a plus but not essential (CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA CASP, CEH, CISSP, ETC)
