Fromelectricity production to defence of the nation and medical uses, the UK hasbenefitted from nuclear technology for more than 60 years.
Now RadioactiveWaste Management (RWM) is working to support and deliver safe and secureapproaches to the way we continue in managing radioactive waste effectively toprotect people and the environment.
Aspart of this work, RWM will be leading delivery of a major infrastructureproject called a Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) for the permanent disposalof radioactive wastes.
Similar projects are already underway in countries likeFinland and Sweden. RWM, as the developer, will work in partnership withwilling local communities -
providing jobs, skills and investment for more than100 years.
As Chief Information Security Officer, you will providespecialist advice to others within the company on information security inaccordance with the HMG Security Policy Framework, ensuring appropriate controlmeasures are in place to protect the confidentiality, integrity andavailability of RWM’s information assets and systems.
Reporting to the HSSEQ Director, you will workclosely with the Head of HSSEQ Systems and Security Manager to ensure alignmentof information security arrangements with RWM’s security, resilience andbusiness continuity arrangements as our programme progresses through engagementwith community, large scale geological investigations and eventually theconstruction and operation of a GDF to dispose of the UK’s radioactive waste one of the largest infrastructure projects planned in the UK.
