We're looking for a skilled technical manager with experience in managing SaaS software quality assurance teams to join the Bazaarvoice engineering team as a Software Quality Manager.
The teams are responsible for developing and maintaining products which leverage Bazaarvoice's massive data network using cutting edge technologies like ElasticSearch, Mongo, AWS Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
As a quality manager on the Bazaarvoice team, you will guide and mentor a team of software quality engineers focused on ensuring our products meet both our client’s and internal quality expectations.
Your team of engineers are advocates for quality within their team and bring the voice of the customer to the table. Teams use agile / lean based development methodologies and own their services end-
to-end. We focus on automation and the software quality engineers lead implementation of tests and continuous improvement to ensure quality, reduce technical debt, and improve team velocity.
Overall leadership and mentorship of a team of software quality engineers matrixed across multiple development teams.
Translation of complex functional and technical requirements into individual release assignments, especially where those intersect with quality best practices.
Work closely with the product and program management team to determine the optimum feature sets for products.
Collaborate and communicate on the go to market strategy for the products and services the team owns closely working with sales, support, or other departments as needed.
Definition and continued refinement of the software development and delivery processes.
Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on a look out for new technologies and work with management and development team in bringing new technologies.
Knowledge of and experience in, maintaining software that has 24x7 operations, 5 9’s uptime requirements, and under very high usage load.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Production level cloud platform experience.
Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
Ability to adapt to new development environments and changing business requirements.
Experience managing contractors and distributed teams.
Works well in a team environment and be able to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements
Strong presentation and technology leadership skills.
