    The role of a Live In Care Assistant is similar to other care assistants with one notable exception, you are not a visitor, but a key part of the household.

  • You will enjoy the special privilege of living in a customer’s home. You will use your excellent communication skills to build unique relationships with people from all walks of life;
  • with different backgrounds and needs, lifestyles and personalities, cultures and behaviours.

    The support our Live in Care Assistants provide may involve some or all of the following. (This is not intended as a complete list and is supplied for information only)

  • Caring for and supporting the customer’s needs
  • Companionship
  • Aspects of personal care (Washing, bathing, showering, oral care, grooming)
  • Medication support (prompting and administering)
  • Assisting customers to go to bed
  • Preparation of meals and assistance with feeding
  • General household duties including shopping
  • Social and physical activities for example football matches, theatre, cinema, day trips etc.
  • To keep accurate records of care visits
  • Working with other care professionals such as district nurses, GPs, etc.
  • A professional, committed and responsible attitude is fundamental to this role as well as a genuine care for others. No prior experience is necessary as we provide full training in care and offer support to all members of our team to gain nationally recognised qualifications.
