Overview

Manufacturing Machined parts to the highest quality by following verbal and written producers and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual mills, Lathe, drill press, file and shape machined parts.
  • Load and secure work piece in fixture.
  • Tends to one or more machines, observes operations, and checks parts using micrometer and calipers.
  • Learn and apply new techniques and skills to manufacture parts used in surgical instruments within standards.
  • Complete each hurdle in the 5 year apprenticeship program.
  • Required Education :

    High School Diploma or equivalent.

    Required Experience :

  • Hand metal working experience
  • Ability to visualize shapes
  • Ability to follow verbal and written manufacturing procedures
  • Able to read and understand blueprints
  • Preferred Experience :

    Previous experience preferred from working in other machine shops with similar environment. Previous experience using hand tools such as but not limited to pliers, hammer or files.
