Your next challenge

Working under a strong leadership team, supporting the internal and external sales teams to improve our profitability, you'll be central to providing top class administration support and coordination in a small but busy sales office.

With our customers being big players in the builder’s merchant sector, you will be working to tight deadlines and prioritising administration activities for multiple sales colleagues, as well as our customers directly.

We see this person as an approachable and professional individual who can naturally assist and support others with ease and without worry.

You will be fully supported by the office team leader who will initially train you to carry out day to day administration duties.

Following this, we envisage you being able to get stuck in to project work such as setting up and creating social media presence and supporting new product development.

Administrative activities include :

  • Maintaining SAP system including inputting data
  • Responding to queries and inbound sales calls
  • Filing
  • Outbound sales calls (once trained)
  • Who are you?

It goes without saying that you will be a basic user of Microsoft packages such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and a user of social media (although being more knowledgeable in the management of social media accounts would be a bonus!)

Whilst we do not require you to be an expert on our products, having an appreciation of wood and wood based products would be valuable.

Ultimately, we are not looking for someone who has administration experience but someone who is willing to learn, grow and develop within our business.

    What can we offer you?

As a Company, we pride ourselves on our values of Respect, Responsibility and Excellence and this is reflected in our overall package to our employees.

  • Competitive annual salary
  • Apprenticeship training support (if applicable)
  • Bonus potential of 7% of annual salary if Company targets are achieved
  • Generous pension contributions of up to 10% of your salary
  • Life assurance x 4 of basic salary
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Exclusive access to a discount and cashback scheme giving you the opportunity to save money from hundreds of retailers and services throughout the UK
  • SCA is a family friendly organisation and appreciates working and having a family comes in hand in hand, as such we welcome flexible working and are open to discussing requirements during the recruitment process.
