Account Overview

LBG comprises some of the leading high street banking brands including Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows.

With around 27 million customers, they are in a unique position of holding a wealth of first party audience data and in the process of mobilising this to power a truly data driven, audience first digital media strategy.

Role Overview

This is a key role within the MediaCom - Lloyds digital leadership team. You will be responsible for leading the Programmatic output for the business unit to deliver against Mediacom’s key strategic priorities : grow our people, grow our clients and grow our business.

You will need to be a passionate team leader, Programmatic expert and commercially astute.

Key Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of the digital media landscape with a strong focus on Programmatic channels
  • Demonstrable experience driving successful brand and conversion strategies with multi-million-pound budgets
  • Have a passion for delivering Programmatic strategies that drive quantifiable success for the clients
  • Hands on experience working across key Programmatic platforms - DV360 essential, Appnexus advantageous with a clear understanding of their strengths, weaknesses and strategic fit
  • In-depth knowledge of the Programmatic ecosystem including adservers, tracking, analytics tools, brand safety platforms, DMPs and how these integrate with one another
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to assess a situation, identify cause and effect relationships and set out a plan for improvement
  • Exceptional team leadership skills with a proven track record in inspiring and growing more junior team members
  • Experience setting smart objectives, managing team workloads, resolving performance issues and encouraging a proactive career development ethos
  • Ability to manage senior client stakeholders and influence strategic decision making to grow their business
  • Experience growing clients use of proprietary technology and services to grow our business
  • An excellent understanding of agency financial billing processes e.g. Using DDS, Metis, Prisma
  • A good knowledge of major industry research sources
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent mathematical and numerical skills
  • Responsibilities

  • Be an inspirational leader for the team. Encourage them to pursue training opportunities and agency / industry events to develop their knowledge and capability
  • Ensure all team members have a development and training plan in place with smart objectives
  • Ensure that inspirational performance is recognised and rewarded
  • Manage workloads for the team to prioritise, remove distractors and distribute equally
  • Effective performance management of team members and the active management of any conduct issues (e.g. attitude, timekeeping) or capability (underperformance) issues
  • Effective management of team’s holiday and sick leave
  • Ensuring all timesheets are up to date for yourself and your team
  • Research, define and promote best practice guidelines for Programmatic and ensure these are followed across the team
  • Reinforce the team’s proud position as best in class for feature adoption and best practice across Programmatic
  • Imbed automated and streamlined processes to improve productivity across the team
  • Be the thought leader and go to person for Programmatic activity across the business unit
  • Construct thought pieces / industry updates and circulate them across client and internal teams
  • Create and deliver the central Programmatic strategy for the group to drive client and business growth
