Here at St Martin’s C of E Primary School we provide a vibrant and inspirational setting and due to our popularity our catchment area covers right across Scarborough, the Headlands and beyond.
Our learning environment, outcomes and curriculum that is offered to our 274 children is second to none and we were delighted to maintain our good’ Ofsted grading in November 2018.
Since the appointment of our Headteacher in April 2017 all key areas of school improvement have been tackled, and we start 2019 with a cohesive staff, delightful children and strong and supportive Governors -
all united to continuing our impressive improvement journey.
As a school our whole school priorities (which all staff play their part in) focus on Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling.
We are looking to appoint either an aspiring leader or existing senior leader to join us as our Deputy Headteacher from September 2019.
You will already be an excellent class room practitioner within KS1 / KS2 and have some leadership experience within your current school.
With tailored support from our Headteacher we will further develop you and give you the skills, encouragement and experience within the profession to excel as a Deputy Headteacher.
The post carries a teaching commitment of 0.8 and will be either within KS1 or KS2. Upper KS2 is the preference although we will look at the strengths of the individual applicant.
As our Deputy Headteacher in our C of E Primary school you will have strong Christian values and (along with support from our Headteacher) lead this area across school.
