Yellowmoon is expanding its editorial department and is currently hiring an assistant editor to work on high-end television / documentary projects mainly, but not exclusively, in the Irish Language.

The position is a trainee post, jointly funded by Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund, Doubleband Films and Yellowmoon and is open to fluent Irish Speakers whose long-

term goal is to become an editor. The successful candidate will be placed on a contract from September 2018 September 2019, (trainee wage tbc) and will have an opportunity to learn and understand the many facets of post-

production. A good knowledge of computers and IT is essential, and a third level related degree would be an advantage. Candidates are expected to have at least three months experience in some aspect of television production.

Application should include : a short 150 word statement or bio and a resumé / cv with educational record.

Trainee Assistant Producer

NVTV is seeking applications from fluent Irish speakers with at least one year’s experience in television production for a position as Trainee Assistant Producer.

This position will be part supported by Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund.

This full-time training position (September 2018-August 2019) will be based at NVTV, Belfast’s local television station and the trainee will develop their skills in all areas of production whilst working across a range of content.

The position may be extended to a second year on successful completion of the scheme.

Trainees must have fluent Irish and at least one year of practical experience in television production.

Ideally the candidate should have a third level qualification in one of the following disciplines : Irish, Media Studies, Accounting, Business Studies, Law.

This is a great opportunity to join an industry which holds excellent employment prospects.

Salary : £18,000
