LOCATION : Gillibrand Hall Nursing Care Home

JOB TITLE : Ancillary Assistant (Domestics / Laundry / Kitchen)

SALARY & BENEFITS : From £9.50 per hour

WORKING HOURS : Day shifts - 42.5 hours per week (5 days per week) Shifts are 7am until 4pm.

THE ROLE : As an Ancillary Assistant you will be working within a wide range of roles, but playing an essential role maintaining the effective running of the home.

You will provide an efficient and effective laundry service that fully meets the needs of the residents, along with the high standards expected in Century Healthcare Ltd Homes.

You will also work to ensure that the home is cleaned and maintained to a high standard in accordance with Century Healthcare Homes’ guidelines and cleaning schedule, in addition to the individual needs and requirements of the residents.

You will also work with the Chef / Cook in preparing residents’ meals, ensuring work is carried out in a safe and hygienic way, the kitchen is kept clean, meeting the Food Safety guidelines and Century Healthcare's own high standards.

THE CANDIDATE : The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working in a care home environment. Although this is not essential as full free training will be provided for committed candidates with the right empathetic and caring mind set.

It is essential you are a naturally caring and compassionate person who is confident and enjoys working with others. Candidates must also live within or be able to easily commute to Chorley.
