Role : Digital Product Officer

Salary : circa £31,000 per annum plus London Weighting if applicable which would attract an additional £3,333

Contract / Hours : Permanent, Full-Time 35 hours per week

Location : Holborn, London, Hybrid or Fully Remote (we'll consider both London-based and fully remote applications for this role)

What you'll be doing :

The Digital Platform team have an ambitious product roadmap and a range of digital projects that will support and drive fundraising and e-campaigning activity.

This is why we are now looking for collaborative, creative and curious individuals who exude passion for website technology.

You'll coordinate agile website development and innovation by scoping, planning and overseeing the delivery of new functionality, as well as designing and optimising the user-experience of Action for Children's website.

You'll be working right from discovery, through to the completion of digital developments by project managing, risk assessing and generally overseeing design, development, testing and implementation.

All of this will allow us to deliver new website functionality and product improvements to help Action for Children generate support for our work to make sure children live safe and happy lives.

You'll do this by :

  • Coordinating and delivering website developments from our product roadmap and backlog
  • Working with our digital agencies and external developers to brief in new developments, test functionality and user-experience and make data-led decisions based on user and business needs
  • Scoping new opportunities for website developments from fundraising or e-commerce functionality and optimisations to campaigning and activism solutions, data capture and data integrations
  • Facilitating workshops with colleagues and stakeholders to discover website development opportunities, providing technical expertise and recommendations on platform developments to stakeholders
  • Planning and scheduling website development projects managing all aspects of the project lifecycle from discovery through to development, testing, implementation and ongoing optimisation.
  • Working through development sprints that align with the website product roadmap and backlog

  • Facilitating open communications with internal stakeholders and colleagues through regular updates on project resourcing, progress, risks and mitigations
  • What we need from you :

  • Website technology or product experience with a passion for evolving and shaping great digital products
  • Create, maintain and prioritise product backlogs to direct the work of website developers and user-experience designers
  • Work with stakeholders of varying levels of digital literacy to communicate development plans and outcomes
  • Transform user-insight into briefs and projects for product improvements
  • Familiarity with setting, monitoring and reporting measurable website performance targets
  • Familiarity with agile software development principles and processes
  • Confidence working with a content management system, Google Analytics and project management tools
