If so, we have an exciting new internal engagement and communications role in Mott MacDonald that could be what you’re looking for.

Due to an internal promotion, we’re recruiting for a role in our Group Internal Engagement and Communication team that will support Mott MacDonald’s drive for digital transformation.

We need someone to plan, write and publish great communications and design attention-grabbing internal campaigns to support our digital programmes.

One day you could be advising on an engagement plan to accelerate uptake of new digital technology and the next you might be crafting communications to support our annual Digital awards.

This position will see you working closely with senior colleagues across several different Digital teams.

Your primary areas of responsibility would include :

  • Advise on, plan, write and publish effective engagement and communications campaigns to generate maximum measurable impact for our Digital and Information Security programmes.
  • Liaise with other Internal Engagement and Communication team members and regional communications colleagues to agree on timings and channels.
  • Write and publish news articles to celebrate our successes
  • Contribute to and help host our fortnightly community call about all things Digital and support the wider team in running other corporate engagement sessions
  • Provide engagement and communications support for our annual Excellence in Digital Delivery awards
  • Ensure all the materials you produce are aligned with our brand guidelines and tone of voice.

    About you

    We’re looking for an experienced communications professional, someone with the ability to work at all levels of an organisation, who can listen, confidently but diplomatically advise, produce high quality deliverables efficiently and work well within a team to produce measurable results.

    You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in :

  • Collaborating, engaging with, and influencing business stakeholders at all levels including global and regional communication teams and across all communication disciplines
  • Understanding the bigger strategic picture and the perspectives of different audiences
  • Coming up with creative ideas and content to develop and deliver small, medium and large projects or multi-phase campaigns with measurable results
  • Using excellent writing skills, storytelling and people-centred communications to increase engagement with content, including translating complex or technical information into simple, persuasive materials
  • Writing to tight deadlines or at short notice.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously to hit agreed deadlines, showing resilience in adapting to changes and keeping your team and all your stakeholders informed about progress
  • Confidently running and hosting online or in-person events
  • Ideally you would have :

  • Experience of working in internal communications roles.
  • A relevant degree (e.g. English, communications, business, media, or PR)
  • A professional qualification in internal communications or marketing (such as a diploma with CIM, CIPR or IOIC) or you would be working towards one.
  • Excellent skills in Word and PowerPoint and preferably familiarity with Excel and SharePoint.
  • You’ll be used to and enjoy working on and delivering a variety of projects. You'll bring exemplary experience of working in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels to achieve desired outcomes.

    This is a permanent position based in either Croydon or London with travel between the two offices and reports into our internal engagement and communication manager for Digital.
