We’re on the lookout for an Assistant Category Manager to join our team based from our Abingdon office.

The Assistant Category Manager supports the commercial delivery of the Connectivity P&L by :
What does the job entail?
Proposition & Product Management
Assist with the implementation of the category strategy, as defined by the Category Manager and Head of Connectivity
Responsible for managing and maintaining all Connectivity parts
Build close working relationships with key sales and customer facing personnel, prioritising heavy email traffic and responding promptly to queries
Work with operational counterparts to contribute to a satisfactory customer journey, ensuring smooth delivery and support
Active efforts and ideas to help generate revenue, driving products from concept through to end of life
Focus on potential process improvements with a view to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to increased profitability
Benchmark products and bids as required to identify opportunities for cost savings
Identify opportunities for the supply partners to support the business strategy, through utilising third party expertise and to improve the TaT for quotation
Organise and manage the ongoing Supplier Relationship Management programme (SRM)
Financial Management & Market Insight
Assist the Category Manager where required with the pricing strategy
Mining, producing and analysing data to ensure a commercial approach is taken to shaping the product set
Significant input into the reshaping of the Management Reporting functionality focused on using existing data to report effectively on P&L
Benchmark products and bids as required to identify opportunities for cost savings or price realignment
