Programme Leadership is a dedicated team of high calibre project and programme management specialists. As one of the largest programme leadership capabilities in the marketplace, we are renowned for our critical involvement in our clients’ largest and most complex transformation programmes.

Programme Leadership is a core proposition in the Organisation Transformation practice at Deloitte and this kind of work sits at the heart of any business change.

So, you'll broaden your skill set and develop quickly, gaining access to the highest levels of client liaison, and working on complex, high-profile projects with some of the top practitioners in the field.

The continued success of our Financial Services team in Programme Leadership means that we are looking to grow the team further by recruiting project and programme management specialists with experience in Retail and Commercial Banking, Wealth and Asset Management, Capital Markets or Insurance.

Our Senior Consultants are involved in :

  • Assisting with the design and development of programmes or project initiatives for Financial Services clients
  • Helping solve complex problems at the core of programmes, by performing analysis, providing recommendations, and implementing controlled change
  • Developing plans and managing critical paths through understanding the inter-dependencies between workstreams
  • Progress reporting, risk management, and financial controls in relation to the programme or project initiative
  • Preparing programme financial reports as part of PMO role and undertaking financial modelling to prepare budgets and business cases
  • Coaching and managing less experienced members of the team

    Your home office will be London, but this client-facing role provides lots of opportunity for travel in the UK and possibly overseas.

    Work pattern :

    This is a permanent contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis.

    Your professional experience

  • Overall your experience should include contribution to large scale organisation transformation programmes, using agile and / or waterfall approaches
  • Experience of working on projects ideally in a consulting organisation, or in an internal consultant role
  • Experience and knowledge of working in / with Financial Services organisations, with a keen interest in the industry and its future
  • Hands-on experience assisting with the design, development and delivery of multiple programmes or project initiatives with a budget over £2m
  • Responsibility for progress reporting, risk management and financial reports as a project manager or part of a PMO
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating to deliver change in fast-paced project environments
  • Ability to develop and manage client and stakeholder relationships at all levels in an organisation
  • Experience of coaching and managing others in a project team, and a passion for continuous personal and professional development
  • At least one completed project or programme management qualification (e.g. MSP, Prince 2, PMP) is essential
