About the Role

This role will report to the Head of Real Estate Finance and work closely with the Directors of Franchise Development to source potential partners and drive execution of franchise transactions in strategic markets, globally.

This role will liaise and oversee external financial advisors to assist with the transaction execution process. The Associate will be responsible for structuring of the transaction and producing all financial analyses to support the execution of the deal.

Responsibilities Include :

Work in tandem with the Director of Development from pitching through execution of definitive documents; Support negotiations of transaction terms and legal documentation

Perform valuation analyses for transactions, including discounted cash flow, public company and precedent M&A multiples methodologies

Work closely with cross functional teams to aggregate all information needed for the data rooms

Prepare materials for Board of Directors meetings, monthly business reviews, quarterly reporting, and earnings calls

Assist with the creation of investment memos and related presentations for review with the Global executive team and senior management

Conduct market research to determine viability of franchise opportunities

Coordinate closely with investment advisors on building a deal narrative and sales strategy

Who We Are Seeking :

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or other course of study from an accredited academic institution; Masters Degree in Finance, Economics, or Real Estate is a plus

3 5 years of professional experience in investment banking, corporate development at a Fortune 100 company, or franchise development

Expert capabilities in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Extensive experience in financial modeling, analysis and data aggregation

Self-starter capable of working both independently and as part of a small team

Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Teamwork, cooperation, and ability to take direction

Reliable, focused, and detail-oriented with the ability to consistently meet deadlines

Strong time management skills and experience running multiple projects at a time

Operate with high degree of tact and diplomacy; Client service orientation

Previous experience managing multiple M&A or franchisee development projects preferred

Experience on the buy-side, from RFP to deal execution is a plus
