The Delivery Assurance Professional is responsible for gathering and presenting the management information that ensures that Openreach’s IT and network technology deliveries remain on track and that any risks or divergences from plan are called out to the CTIO Leadership Team at an early enough time to be dealt with.
The role holder will also ensure that Openreach CTIO is a learning organisation that practices continuous improvement adopting and sharing best practice.
IT development is a key value creator for Openreach. The role requires significant engagement across wider technical teams in the organisation, bringing parties together to clarify and resolve issues and brokering agreement.
You'll have the following responsibilities
Working closely with our senior managers, product owners and tribe leads on a weekly basis to ensure all IT and networks projects comprising the CTIO’s Medium Term Plan (MTP) are fully defined, set up to deliver and trackable
Validate and correct our project and Annual Engineering Plan (AEP) data providing assurance that our directors’ insight and decision making is based on complete and accurate inputs
Ensure high quality, timely reporting on our key deliverables via the Delivery Dashboard (CTIO Fusion Tool)
Operating a trusted metrics framework to engender a culture of tracking of time, cost and quality closely across CTIO, driving improvements over time
Analysing and signing off In-Flight and Post Implementation Reviews on all CTIO Projects
Looking for pattens and opportunities to learn, ensuring that best practice is disseminated across CTIO
Working with colleagues to upskill the organisation, ensuring an understanding of our tools and change processes and working across CTIO to improve them
Driving improvements to tooling and reporting using consistent, shared data to enable improved adherence to release timescales and a reduction in negative churn
Manage the team’s SharePoint site, providing structure and organisation for key CTIO documents
Review and document CTIO delivery processes and drive opportunities to simplify and standardise ways of working
You'll have the following skills & experience
Good understanding of the IT Engineering delivery process Ability to manage multiple complex stakeholder relationships (including Director level) across CTIO and BT Digital
Understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies and how to model them
Ability to ask probing questions that helps us to form an understanding of the health of a project
Strong data analysis skills Openreach’s IT delivery plan is a complex, multi-dimensional construct which we optimise and solve using a combination of Openreach’s Fusion planning system and advanced use of Microsoft Excel
Strong presentation skills. Able to present complex data in easily consumable documents
