Financial Analyst ( 9 Month Contract )
This position will be focused on performing elements of the period close activities including any fiduciary reporting and control requirements.
This position will support North America Controllership in various accounting functions.
This position will be able to function effectively in a team with the Finance Manager and Financial Analysts ensuring that the dynamic requirements of the business unit and Corporate Finance are being appropriately supported.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Period End Duties Month end closing activities including analysis, journal entry preparation / posting. Costing analysis for Operation’s Projects.
Warranty provision and analysis.
Reconciliation - Reconciles balance sheet accounts to sub-ledger and investigates variances (RM / WIP / FG Inventory, Warranty, accruals, etc )
Accurate preparation of period end fiduciary reporting requirements in accordance with SOX and our financial close.
Quarterly Reporting including One Stream forms and analysis.
Daily item cost updates, Scrap / Rework and inventory adjustment variance analysis.
Participate in ad hoc tasks and / or analysis surrounding operational activities and / or other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience in multi-currency / multi-legal entity structure.
Strong communication, organization, and planning skills
Proficient in Excel, Baan and Microsoft AX experience preferred.
Previous experience in a SOX environment would be an asset.
Strong Analytical Skills and understanding of operations accounting
Detailed and deadline oriented individual.
University Degree Commerce or Business Admin.
Designation Recently designated or in final stages of CPA designation
2-4 years financial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on operations accounting
