We currently have an exciting opportunity for Voice Communications Engineer to join our team.
Main Purpose A full time role carrying out changes, work requests and small developments in IP Telephony, Contact Centre and Video environments.
Carrying out configuration to complete work requests relating to the set-up and administration of our VoIP networks, IP Telephony, Contact Centre and Video applications, and associated network services.
Assisting other members of the team with testing and development of new IP Communications applications and features as well as the roll-out of IP telephony to new sites.
Working with our channel partners to support delivery of IP Communications projects and the resolution of technical issues.
The provision of some 3rd line support for production systems and roll-out activities.
The production of documentation may be required.
Ideally, the successful candidate for this position will have an excellent working knowledge of IP Communications in enterprise environments.
In addition they should have
A good understanding of enterprise networking, including WAN / LAN / Wireless / TCP / IP / Ethernet / ISDN / DNS / DHCP / 802.1X / QoS / Security.
Experience in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 / 2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
Experience of change management in enterprise and data-centre environments.
The candidate should also have experience in these specific areas :
Building, configuring and upgrading Cisco Communications Manager Versions 7.1(5) and 8.6(2)
Building and configuring and upgrading Cisco Unity Connection version 7 and above
Cisco 79xx and 69xx series phones, including wireless. Cisco IP Communicator.
Cisco IOS routers (ISRs and G2), specifically voice configuration.
Cisco L3 switches.
MGCP and H.323, CUBE and TDM gateways
PRI / BRI ISDN PSTN trunks
Analogue telephony (including Cisco VG248, VG224 and ATAs)
SCCP, H.323, SIP, DNS, DHCP, CDP.
Whilst not essential, the successful candidate for this position may also demonstrate the following experience and skills :
Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCx)
Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE)
Cisco Customer Voice Portal (CVP)
