Description & Requirements
The eLearning and Instructional Design Manager is responsible for the design and development of eLearning and management of FLITE (our internal LMS) and has been newly created due to training demand in the business, a business requirement to provide high quality training available at scale and support the new demands of working in a hybrid working model.
The role will support the EMEA HR team and will report directly to the Head of Talent Development, EMEA. This role is unique, having a key part to play in supporting both the L&D and DE&I strategies across EMEA and delivering training opportunities at scale.
Consult with Head of Talent Development and Head of DE&I and utilise technology to create new eLearning and virtual learning experiences.
Develop design documents, storyboards, audio scripts, graphic images, communications, surveys, assessments, slide decks, facilitator guides and role model high quality design standards.
Measuring and regularly reporting on the return on investment, usage statics and engagement levels with products launched and our LMS generally.
Collaborate with the existing facilitators of our digital and craft skills training (entry / 101 level training) in the UK to transfer sessions into eLearning.
This will need to be reviewed with local SMEs to ensure content is applicable for a regional audience before completion.
Work with business SMEs to storyboard, design and launch eLearning to support key business areas.
Connecting with and coordinating with global owners of brand specific training initiatives to ensure that global activity compliments with us locally.
Partnerships Training e.g. Snapchat Explore, Facebook Blueprint and Google Ad Certification. Working together with the partnerships account lead in Magna, you will provide L&D support on best practice for identifying the target audience, communication and course completion reporting.
Own our internal LMS FLITE Learning. Your role will be to manage the content within FLITE Learning as well as improve the user experience.
It is important that we make sure our learners have easy access to the learning they need.
Design and deliver regular communications that promote L&D opportunities to employees, highlighting both classroom-based courses and online / eLearning / social learning opportunities via FLITE Learning.
Desired Skills & Experience
Evidence of your passion, drive and potential to be a great designer and L&D specialist.
Ability to apply knowledge of blended learning and state-of-the-art learning technologies to the development of training curriculum and materials.
Translating complex subject matter into easy-to-understand, engaging eLearning modules.
Media, technology, digital, data and industry experience is a benefit but not essential.
Experienced project manager, who can engage audiences, harness technology and create engaging narratives virtually and via eLearning.
Experience of owning, managing and providing day to day technical support of an LMS.
Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design and familiar with the ADDIE model.
First class writing, editing, and instructional design skills.
Proven experience in designing innovative eLearning modules, according to client need, in multiple formats such as videos, stand-alone online courses, and even mobile device apps.
It is important when creating these training experiences that they remain safe, positive and fun.
Knowledgeable in the use of development tools, we are currently using Articulate Software as a business (Captivate 6, Adobe Presenter;
Photoshop and Flash are a plus).
Hands-on approach - happy to roll sleeves up to get the job done. You will be responsible for designing, managing, administering and launching your own training.
