Staffordshire University is recruiting a number of Security Officers to join their busy campus security team across our Stoke on Trent and Stafford sites.
We have day and night shifts available on a rota basis, although there is the requirement to work across both. We require a degree of flexibility as this role is part of a 24 / 7, 365 day service.
This is an exciting opportunity and a role like no other. The team plays a pivotal role in the health and safety of staff, students and visitors to the university, as well as providing traditional 24 hour security services.
Most importantly, we provide support for students, working closely with wellbeing and other services across the university through our 24 hour provision.
You will play a key role in developing and fostering relationships with everyone on campus, in order for us to maintain a safe, secure environment.

Successful candidates will have previous security or other relevant experience. We require exceptional levels of customer service, the ability to be diplomatic in conflict and empathise with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
You must have the ability to work in sometimes challenging situations, remaining calm and acting effectively. You will be a positive individual and committed team player, but with the ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
As a team we go beyond the traditional security boundaries and as an individual you must be highly skilled and flexible to deal with this challenging and varied role
