You’ll support people with learning disabilities and autism at home and in the community to live life more freely. You don’t necessarily need experience as we provide full training.
About the role
You’ll join our friendly teams, enabling people with learning disabilities to increase their independence; there’s lots of variety.
You’ll support individuals in all aspects of daily living; from cooking to managing finances. Supporting people with their personal care and medication needs is also key.
As a support worker you’ll also support people to do things in their community; from shopping and going on day trips to sport and visiting day centres.

This particular role is supporting 3 young men who studied Hospitality at college together This is their first home away from the family.
The men would like to be supported to find work or work experience and enjoy doing lots of activities.
If you’re new to social care, we will support you gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you’ll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression.

You’ll need good communication skills and a positive, patient. Respectful of people’s differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach.
You can work 24 / 7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. A full driving licence is essential for some roles.
