What you will do
The role of Pre-Sales Design Consultant involves you designing complex, integrated security systems and system upgrades to meet customer requirements within technical, legal, cost, quality and timescale constraints.
You will be responsible for the production of all technical aspects of the tender responses and written customer proposals.
Occasionally you will be involved in demonstrating or presenting technology solutions to customers.
This role is based within a global team of sales support specialists who support customers around the world with their integrated security design requirements.
We created this team to draw experts from across the globe to help us secure large projects.
How you will do it
As Design Consultant you will present technical security solutions to customers. You will demonstrate your technical design knowledge during engagement and project planning.
A key part of your role is to ensure customer satisfaction through reviewing and interpreting customer requirements, and delivery of complex sales proposals.
You will handle ambiguity well, make decisions and effectively manage change. You will be an expert in taking on new technology.
You will have excellent communication skills within a commercial security environment. You will be able to manage multiple competing priorities because of your excellent planning and organization skills.
You also understand that internal and external collaboration drives improvement and best practice.
What we look for
The successful candidate will have experience of designing complex, network based security systems. You will have an excellent working knowledge of a number of enterprise CCTV or enterprise access control systems.
You will also be experienced with a much wider range of security technology that you can apply to any customer requirements.
It will be a significant benefit if you have experience of integration products such as PSIM’s (Physical Security Information Management) or SMS (Security Management Systems).
We expect the successful candidate to have a degree in computer science or engineering and to demonstrate how they have used their skills to deliver successful projects.
