The Risk and Compliance Analyst plays a central role within the Client Take-On & Continuance department within Grant Thornton UK LLP.

The successful candidate will deliver a high quality service to the firm, ensuring that all tasks that involve complex research and are analytical in nature are carried out efficiently and to the highest standard possible.

Working as part of a close knit team, contributing ideas and supporting colleagues, with complex queries to ensure the team functions as effectively as possible.

Be an expert of all research knowledge for all employees in the wider firm on data discovery relating to client on-boarding and corporate structures, raising awareness of the process and risks and guiding and advising staff on the processes involved.

The Executive should be highly professional, responsible, and will to take accountability of all research work that they complete.

Job Description :

What you’ll be doing :

o You'll keep up to date with key areas of compliance, including relationship checking, anti-money laundering, corporate investigations & research, identity checking and overall client take-on and continuance procedures

o You'll support on-going development of processes and help to pilot and assess new procedures and systems

o You'll adhere to the procedures, best practice and templates relevant to the role and looks for opportunities to improve processes and suggests these to the team for consideration

o You'll manage own workload effectively to strict deadlines, with minimal supervision. Keep Team Leader informed of workload and any capacity issues

Who we're looking for :

o Previous experience in a senior compliance or business research role

o Demonstrate good experience of research / Investigations work and familiarity with corporate structures

o Experience of a team environment and desire to work within a team

o Previous use of additional databases would be an advantage, eg Access

o Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel including macros and pivot tables is desirable

o Good knowledge of sources such as Fame and Orbis, Dun & Bradstreet, Smartsearch, WorldCheck

Minimum Criteria :

o Previous experience in a senior compliance or business research role and able to evidence experience of working in analytical role
