As Manufacturing Supervisor, you will lead the team to achieve their daily Production targets whilst driving a strong focus on quality, H&S, and continuous improvement.
Day to day manage and motivate Production teams to ensure all allocated tasks meet the demands of the customer sales order requirements.
Striving towards improved Productivity and Efficiency KPIs.
Collaborating closely with Quality Control to reduce faults per unit and to increase right-first-time KPIs.
Ability to utilise Lean methodology to seek and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain and improve effective 5S housekeeping within the area of responsibility.
Leading and implementation of Six Sigma projects.
Work closely with our onsite R&D team and Production Engineering team to smoothly transition and integrate new products into the manufacturing environment.
Ensure Production teams conduct all tasks professionally and operate within recognised Health and Safety guidelines.
Uphold and maintain ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality standards.
Confidently lead a team of 25+ skilled operatives to maintain Production Quality Standards.
Full supervisory responsibilities, contributing to the motivation / development of the team through professional leadership.
Management of team requirements including performance,annual appraisals, misconduct, attendance, absence etc.
Able to manage conflict and difficult conversations.
You will be involved in recruiting new team members and development of the existing team.
Proven experience managing and leading a team of people in a Manufacturing based environment.
Proven experience motivating a team of people to drive productivity and efficiency.
A technical approach to problem-solving.
Previous experience in product handover from R&D into live Production.
Ability to manage difficult conversations and scenarios.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Strong team building, motivation management skill set.
Strong Numeracy, Literacy skills.
Strong IT skills in all Google or equivalent packages, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.
Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes, product knowledge, and quality control principles.
A self-motivated, conscientious, and organised approach to support production personnel.
Flexible approach to problem-solving, ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Previous experience in lean manufacturing or six sigma implementation within a Manufacturing environment.
Experience in the use of robotics and automation optimizing Manufacturing processes.
Previous experience with LATIS ERP system.
Understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations.
Strong technical knowledge of water purification principles and processes.
Previous experience in process mapping and improvements resulting in efficiency savings.
