Teaching Assistant SEN Caerphilly

Our Specialist SEN Branch here at Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a 3-19 SEN school specialising in Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties & Autism on the outskirts of Caerphilly.

They support children with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, health and development needs, who we believe are in reach of their aspirations.

That’s why they are looking for an inspiring and patient Learning Support Assistant to enable the young people we support achieve their full potential.

Role Expectation :

  • Demonstrate knowledge and ability to use Signalong or Makaton an advantage.
  • To work alongside the teacher to support the delivery of the curriculum through planned lessons and activities.
  • To assist the teacher in the planning, implementation and evaluation of individual pupil educational plans.
  • To be able to write and maintain records and documentation.
  • To assist in the implementation of individual pupil care plans to include mealtime and personal care routines.
  • To be able to work as a team member and autonomously within a range of settings
  • To demonstrate an aptitude for working with disabled people
  • To work alongside the therapists to support the delivery of the young person’s therapy programmes.
  • Teaching Personnel are looking for a number of Teaching Assistants for this specific schools and other SEN provisions across South Wales and the surrounding areas.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
