We're looking for a Business Development Associate to join the UK Campaign Development Team (commercial team) in our London HQ, who are focused on finding and onboarding the best early stage, high growth businesses to raise equity capital on Seedrs.

What you'll be doing : As a Business Development Associate at Seedrs, you will play a fundamental role in driving our UK growth, and impact how hundreds of exciting and groundbreaking companies access funds to realise their ambitions.
You will have the opportunity to speak to leading founders and entrepreneurs from across the UK and educate them about crowdfunding and the fund raising process on Seedrs.
You will be given the freedom to drive change with us in the UK ecosystem from day one.
Whilst no day is the same, day to day you will :
Originate new investment opportunities through engaging your personal network for referrals and through cold outreach.
Screen inbound applications generated through our marketing and partnership activities.
Build and maintain relationships with founders and senior management teams of high growth UK companies.
Educate and advise founders on the benefits of equity crowdfunding and the Seedrs process.
Agree and close commercial agreements with founders for raising on Seedrs.
About you : The varied nature of this role means there is no set profile for the perfect' Associate, however, you will ideally have some working knowledge of the UK startup ecosystem.
Perhaps you have worked in VC, at a top accelerator, in a sales role for an early stage company, or at a co-working space for entrepreneurs -
or even founded your own company prior to joining us. The job requires a wide set of skills, including top-notch interpersonal skills, a commercial mindset, understanding of a sales process, and a genuine empathy for entrepreneurs and the challenges they go through.
We look for self-starters; you need to act as an entrepreneur yourself, and are expected to challenge the way you work, adapting accordingly to the needs of your clients and the business.
You will likely possess at least 2 of the following key character attributes / professional experience :
At least 2 years experience in consultative sales, business development and / or partnerships.
A genuine passion for entrepreneurship and innovation, and are excited by the opportunity to interact with passionate entrepreneurs of every kind.
Experience or knowledge of the UK startup ecosystem, ideally with an existing network.
A keen eye for detail, you write compelling proposals and presentations.
Commercially minded, able to spot opportunities that will help drive Seedrs' growth as well as prioritise effectively to drive revenue and achieve targets.
Confident speaking to C-level executives and founders either 1 : 1 or presenting to room of 30+ people at an event.
Familiar with early-stage investment activity, how it works, and who plays in the space.
A standard setter with competitive drive : you set ambitious goals, and build clear strategies on how to achieve them
Team player, able to collaborate with and support members of other teams to achieve the same goal
Nice to haves :
Experience working with a CRM (ideally Salesforce).
Operational experience which you can use to help our entrepreneurs with their businesses, whether it is in marketing, fundraising, legal, growth hacking, or customer acquisition.
Knowledge of marketing and how it supports business growth.
Familiar with Seedrs, you've either invested with us or worked at one of our portfolio companies.
