The Production Scheduler, under limited supervision, performs routine tasks in coordinating new customer orders, existing customer delivery schedules, and finished product shipments.
Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows.
Job Core Responsibilities
Maintain SAP planning parameters in relation to material and production Inventory.
Place purchase orders for all module discrete raw materials / components in line with MRP recommendations and expedite as necessary to ensure delivery.
Risk mitigation of any potential materials and or production matters by leasing with internal customers from Logistics to Supply chain / purchasing team.
Monitor and maintain perpetual inventory activity for module raw materials, WIP (Work in progress). Lead stock management control order to ensure 100% stock inventory.
Accountability for the Maintain of a module(s) raw materials requirements and its project production in progress and to ensure you manage stock stored in good conditions and correctly located.
Manage your Module(s) workload and ensure the accurate and auditing of the works orders / job card is accurate.
Create and maintain data integrity data for the Sales and operations planning (S&OP) process
Provide input and reporting for the New Product Introduction process
Interaction with customers providing key information on product lead-time’s and WIP (Work in progress).
Liaise and monitor daily progress with team leaders and with supply functions to ensure material availability and expedite shortages.
Identify and implement process improvement for the business
Deliver MI reports on operational delivery progress with monitor processes.
Proactive involvement in the development of deployed staff and provide cover for absent team members.
Safeguard Health & Safety for all deployed resources within areas of responsibility in accordance with company procedures and current legislation.
Education : A Secondary Certificate / High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications : Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field.
Years Experience : 2 years or more of relevant experience
Working knowledge of Material Resource Planning / Material Resource Planning II and Basic CRD skills
Experience in production control or order scheduling, as well as standard commercial packaging procedures
Able to apply a systematic disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
Proficient Microsoft Windows software applications
