IT Business Analyst , Crewe
Location - CW1 6BD 10-minute walk from Crewe train station
We are recruiting for an IT Business Analyst to join our growing, fast paced and innovative company. You will be joining our Core PMO containing a team of Business Analysts and Project Managers who support and manage the changes to our business-
critical internal applications.
Based out of our Head Office in Crewe, the Core PMO is a diverse group of change management professionals from varying backgrounds, working alongside our in-
house development team to deliver internal system enhancements and integrations with third party providers.
All of our Project Managers and Business Analysts are passionate about delivering best practice applications and we work closely together to achieve our goals.
Essential skills :
3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role.
Demonstrable business analysis skills and knowledge of business process mapping using a variety of tools and techniques in an IT software development environment.
The ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements and to present these for technical review or for business stakeholders to sign-off.
Desirable skills (any of the following are advantageous) :
Solid experience of documenting as is and to be business processes.
Familiarity with facilitating workshops, conducting one-to-one meetings and working with the Project Manager to present back to the business / stakeholders.
Experience of assisting with the creation of test plans and co-ordinating UAT coupled with knowledge of the various stages of software testing (SIT, E2E, UAT etc).
Experience of working with finance and billing systems and / or API integration.
High level of communication influencing and negotiation skills, coupled with an ability to build relationships at all levels.
Understanding of Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
Experience of using tools such as Jira, Confluence and SharePoint.
Typical work activities :
Requirements gathering on existing or new applications, across varying departments from Sales and Marketing, Credit and Financial Operations.
Working on full software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) alongside fellow Business Analysts or Project Managers from project initiation, requirements elicitation through to testing and business readiness.
Working with the IT development team to ensure appropriate technical solutions are designed, developed, validated and deployed in line with business expectations.
Alongside a Project Manager, delivering system improvements, small development changes, new features and enhancements.
Assisting with the production of training material for new systems / processes where appropriate.
Supporting the creation of test plans and co-ordinating UAT with Business representatives.
Working in a supportive team that achieves high standards of stakeholder interaction and communication.

BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or working through the modules to complete this is desirable / advantageous.
