Electrical Engineer required for our client, a well-established Energy company with a great history in all aspects of Renewable Energy.

They are now looking to grow the team with an additional Electrical Engineer. The position is to cover work across the Isle of Wight and potentially Portsmouth on occasions.

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, installations, repairs and maintenance of residential and commercial solar PV, and commissioning of new heating systems whilst providing a first-class customer service.

Previous experience on these systems isn't required as full training is provided, however it would be advantageous.

Electrical Engineer Position Overview

  • Complete all necessary steps in the installation of Solar PV and produce relevant commissioning documents
  • Complete the electrical side of installations for Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal systems and produce relevant commissioning documents
  • Provide maintenance, repair and servicing of existing Solar PV installations
  • Troubleshoot instances of system malfunctions, interruptions and failures.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Ensure proper daily documentation of activities
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction from start to finished project
  • Electrical Engineer Position Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience working within the Electrical industry
  • Ideally, experience working on Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal Systems however full training is provided
  • 18th edition
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Electrical Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary : £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience, payable in equal monthly instalments
  • Holiday : 20 days in addition to paid holiday on all statutory and other public holidays
  • Pension : The company uses the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) for pension provision and the successful candidate will be enrolled from the start of employment.
  • Hours : The company's normal hours of work are from 8.30 until 17.00, Monday to Friday, with a 30 minutes unpaid break for lunch.
  • A van and mobile phone will be provided.
