The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of contract activity for the Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing (EBPT) legal entities.
The role will operate as part of a small team who ensure all legal entities follow a harmonised and consistent process with respect to client contracts.
Contracts will be managed efficiently, effectively, and in line with Group best practice. Strong systems and process improvement capabilities will be a significant part of this role.
The role will interface with the Sales team, Managing Directors of legal entities, Project Managers, EBPT IT teams, Group Finance, Group Legal, and external legal firms.
Complete training on EBPT structures, business functions, Corporate guidelines, and Group procedures.
Develop a very strong understanding of EBPT business software functionality, in particular eLIMS-BPT, ComLIMS, and CRM.
This will be achieved through utilisation of available documentation (e.g. User Requirements, Release Notes, SOPs, and Training Materials) and collaboration with the appropriate Business Process Owners.
Develop knowledge of laboratory testing operations and familiarity with common operational processes and analytical terminology.
Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the laboratories’ business requirements and align on goals.
In collaboration with local Project Managers and management, evaluate current business processes and identify changes necessary.
Draft, edit, negotiate, and review all new client contracts for the laboratory network, including Master Service Agreements, Quality Agreements, Technical Agreements, Subcontracting Agreements, Intercompany Agreements, and agreements relating to both Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) and Professional Scientific Services (PSS) business.
Update, maintain, and manage contracts database : input data, process reports, and implement new procedures for database management.
Conduct an assessment of all existing client contracts to identify gaps or anomalies. Address findings promptly and effectively.
Implement CAPAs to ensure no recurrence of problems.
Provide support and consultation to local business representatives to resolve end-user issues.
Ensure full compliance with General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTS) for each client and that all client documentation is up-to-date on eLIMS-BPT and routinely monitored.
Travel for on-site visits once per month, once travel restrictions are reduced.
Perform administrative duties and other duties as assigned.
Provide cross-functional support as required.
Liaise with external agencies situated in the UK or Europe on legal matters, as required.
Responsible for integrating contracts for newly acquired businesses onto the eLIMS-BPT platform.
Assist with enhancements to work flow and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
Bachelor’s Degree (honours) in Science, Commerce, or Engineering or equivalent, and / or Postgraduate Legal Certification
Minimum of three years in a commercial or client-facing role in the life science industry or a large, complex group.
Strong and proven background in a commercial role.
Proficient use of MS Office and contract management systems and processes.
High degree of competence with LIMS.
Strong project management skills.
Sound knowledge of legal and contractual issues.
Lean certification or proficient with concepts.
Exposure to international projects and multi-site collaboration is highly preferred.
Three years of experience with contract review, preferably in a corporate setting.
Experience working in the life science industry.
Excellent English communication skills (concise writing and orally convincing).
