Main duties of the job
The Information Governance Lead for the Research and Innovation department will manage Information Governance compliance and responsibilities for the entire research portfolio at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The post holder will be responsible for advising on, implementing, and raising awareness of nationally mandated guidance and standards from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), NHS England, Department of Health and Social Care, Health Research Authority (HRA), National Institute of Health Research and UKRI.
The post holder will develop and implement processes to ensure Information Governance compliance across Research and Innovation.
They will also be responsible for supporting researchers with Data Protection Impact Assessments.
The post holder will report to the trust Information Governance and Records Committee (IGRC) and will manage all assets across R&I in accordance with trust policies and procedures.
