Buhler UK is currently seeking a Sales and Project Support Engineer to proactively support the Projects Department in the timely delivery of quotations and fulfillment of small project orders.
Sales and Project Support EngineerLondon, UKDutiesThe main purpose of this role is to produce general arrangement and detailed drawings for issue to clients and to the suppliers for manufacturing.
Responsible for producing quality drawings to a high degree of accuracy. Liaise with clients, Project Manager, Project Engineers and suppliers to follow the project from order stage to delivery.
Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe sales & project support engineer will be part of the engineering team. Main activities include : Support sales with customer visits for site survey.
Producing process flow diagrams.Machine layout and installation drawings, showing the building, the final position of all machines, transport elements, spouting, aspiration ducting, pneumatic conveying and basic steel constructions.
Preparing disposition drawings where applicable.In addition to the above : -Prepare quotation, verify space requirements and liaise with internal Technical and Commercial Departments.
Manage order processing including all internal and external ordering.Methodical documentation of project control, agreements with clients and decisions.
Complaints handling.QualificationsESSENTIAL - Skills and KnowledgeProficient with AutoCAD 2D and 3D.Experienced in preparing machine layout drawings.
Advantage detailing of steelwork, platforms, gravity spout, Pipe work, pipe supports etc.Experience in P&ID’s an advantageExperience with project engineering environment, dealing with clients.
Ideal candidate : -Solid technical education : preference for a candidate with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or process engineering.
Advanced experience in AutoCAD 2D / 3D- Experience of minimum 2 - 3 years in a similar function in a project engineering environment for the Food Processing Industry (preference for engineering solutions in material handling).
Any experience or background in flour milling process, Brewery / Distillery would be advantageous.Basic experience with SAPDriving licence (not essential)PersonalityTakes initiative and is customer focused.
