Nationally we are engaged in significant highways projects such as the M4 Corridor around Newport and the Forth Replacement Crossing.
Client involvement includes Highways England frameworks such as CDF and SPaTS, the Smart Motorway Programme, and several design and build links with major contractors.
Our expertise is also a critical component of a multidisciplinary offer on projects such as HS2 and Crossrail. Approximately 1200 staff work on highway projects in the UK each year, successfully delivering integrated, multidisciplinary projects for our clients.
Arup Office The role is based at the Arup Campus’ in Solihull, a purpose built office which comprises over 600 people representing the full range of professional services we offer.
You will join our growing highways team, which is more than 70 people strong and delivers a wide portfolio of work from multi million pound projects for Highways England to designing small scale junctions for developers.
We also work as designers for contractors and advise Governments and Lenders on PPP projects. Our current projects are spread across the Midlands, the wider UK, and internationally across Europe and Africa.
We have a strong forward workload which supports our strategy to expand the team.Opportunities also exist for experience overseas, and in related fields such as railways.
The Arup Campus serves as Arup’s global highways skill-centre and we regularly assist our 70+ worldwide offices with highways projects.
