The Group Financial Analyst is a key finance business partner at dmg : : events, supporting Director / Heads of Departments.

The role will work closely with the Group CFO and business partner across the company to drive financial results.

Key Focus Areas for the Group Financial Analyst :

  • Assist the CFO in production of consolidated group information for DMG Events. This will include consolidated monthly reporting, budgets, forecasts and ad-hoc requests from DMGT plus year end and half year end consolidations
  • Responsible for the financial management, business planning and budgetary processes of DMG Events Central Companies.
  • Responsible for Business Partnering with Hi Design portfolio of events
  • Improve business efficiency and commercial decision making by enhancing management information and financial forecasting
  • Provide and maintain a strong financial management and control environment with appropriate processes
  • Assist in implementation of new finance system across DMG Events
  • Work with the CFO and senior commercial managers to implement and execute business strategy
  • Responsibilities :

  • Produce monthly management packs for the DMG Events Central Companies
  • Produce statutory financial statements for DMG Events Central Companies
  • Work with Finance teams in London, Redhill, Singapore, Canada, Dubai and South Africa to oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly management accounts;
  • Provide quality, value added commentary and analysis;
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process across the DMG Events portfolio
  • Develop DMGE Group reports
  • Develop, implement and manage on-going measures to enhance financial and management information including appropriate KPIs and metrics;
  • Ensure a strong, financial control environment is maintained and that DMG Events policies are communicated, implemented and complied with;
  • Assist the CFO in analysis of potential acquisitions and disposals as required;
  • Carry out any reasonable project work / ad hoc task as requested;
  • Assist in system upgrades as required
  • Attend training and development as required;
  • Our Ideal Candidate :

  • Membership of a recognised accounting professional body (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with at minimum 2 years’ post qualification experience (preferably ACA)
  • Experience of working in finance in a multinational environment
  • Commercially focused with extensive commercial finance experience
  • Proven track record in developing, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with senior business leaders that enables open and collaborative communication
  • Competent at exerting influence at a senior level
  • Hands on approach
  • Willing to accept responsibility
  • Strong project management skills
  • Able to multi-task and manage changing workloads and priorities
  • Able to adapt to changing circumstances re-setting priorities as necessary
  • Advanced Excel skills to Macro and pivot table level,
  • Experience of implementation of finance systems desirable
  • A familiarity with software such as Salesforce would be an advantage but not essential
