Duties will include

  • Undertake maintenance, refurbishment & installation works of all aspects of electrical services, including emergency lighting, electrical LV switchgear, distribution boards, mains and sub- mains cabling, containment, lighting and other electrical equipment.
  • To have knowledge of inspection and testing procedures and certify works upon completion in accordance with relevant certification.
  • To undertake reactive and planned service works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Provide detailed reports upon completion of works including breakdown processes, hours and materials of works to allow for accurate valuation of works
  • To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
  • To have knowledge of multi-disciplined trades in electrical distribution systems (LV), mechanical ventilation, chillers, plumbing / CWST systems and LTHW / MTHW heating services.
  • To provide emergency callout response for the client as required and work as part of a call out rota
  • To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
  • To ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
  • To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
  • To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
  • To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
  • To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
  • To be fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs at all times.
  • To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents / records are maintained accurately.
  • Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Arthur McKay & Co Ltd H&S policy.
  • The successful candidate

  • Approved Electrician NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds 2391 / 17th edition
  • Desired - Plumbing / Heating NVQ level or Equivalent
  • Desired - Legionella Training
  • CSCS Skills card
  • SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme) Desired but training provided
  • Previous experience working within building maintenance, projects and minor works environment.
  • Full clean driving licence.
