The Asylum & Protection Group plays a vital role in the Home Office, helping to support the economy and cultural life of the UK.
as well as coming to decisions on applications from hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals wishing to stay in the UK to work, study or be with family.
As an Executive Officer in one of our Service & Support Centres, you will handle a varied caseload. Most applications are now submitted online before a face to face’ session takes place to have documents scanned, digitised, and returned as well as capturing required biometrics.
You will be involved at all stages.
As we move to modernise our work and drastically reduce our reliance on paper, you will receive all the tools you need to ensure the experience of this process is efficient but remains human.
For our more vulnerable and complex cases, you will be involved in an in-house service.
Your written and verbal communication will play a key part in this role alongside your ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
With a positive approach and strong interpersonal skills, you will always be looking for ways to improve processes, offer innovative solutions to problems and build and maintain solid working relationships with the wider team.
