Marketing Co-ordinator - Kickstart Scheme Applicants Only

Pay Rates Are : £5.53 for age 16 & 17 / £8.32 for age 18 to 20 / £8.91 for age 21 and over

The Government's Kickstart Scheme has meant that we have a new and exciting opportunity to offer you for 6 months as a Marketing Co-ordinator working within our Blakemore Marketing Division.

Under the scheme we will offer you a great incite into the business as well as thorough 'on-the-job' training. We will also offer you an opportunity to go through our Employability Skills Training, which will include supporting you with CV writing, applying for vacancies and interviewing techniques.

We also aim to prioritise our own permanent vacancies in the business, where suitable, for our Kickstart colleagues.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, you will ensure the smooth deliver of marketing outputs within Blakemore Retail and Trade Partners.

Our stores offer a wide range of food-to-go options, including; Food To Go and Daily Deli as well as a number of franchise partners to increase the choice available to customers such as Subway & Greggs.

Key Accountabilities & Duties :

  • Support the activation of the group Selling Plan
  • Provide marketing support to all Blakemore Group Divisions
  • Produce creative briefs and liaise with our design and agency teams to provide content
  • Assist with implementation of cross channel marking communication campaigns
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely delivery of marketing services
  • Create and execute marketing plans to support local store activity
  • Ensure accurate records of activity are maintained
  • Undertake detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met
  • Keep abreast of competitor promotional activity
  • Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications :

  • High level of numeracy and literacy and 5 x GCSE’s (A-C) is essential
  • Experience in digital packages such as Adobe and the creation of digital assets.
  • Creative thinker with good copywriting skills
  • Good communication skills, able to ask questions, seek and clarify information
  • Demonstrative enthusiasm to learn new experiences and be supportive of and part of a hard working team
  • Keenness to be productive, adding value to their team and explore and exploit all self-development opportunities
  • Enthusiasm to undertake all blended learning opportunities and undertake all organised training sessions
  • Flexible in approach and willing to maximise the opportunity
