Are you passionate about gardening, and supporting people with a learning disability to do the things they love?

We need enthusiastic and green fingered volunteers to help maintain and beautify a garden at our supported living service for people with learning disabilities.

The house has a large garden area, that due to lack of funding and gardening knowledge has been left to get a bit wild’.

As a volunteer, you will be supporting residents to maintain and beautify their garden so it becomes a useful space for them to use and enjoy.

To be a Gardening Sidekick you need to be :

  • Over 18 years of age
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Good at communicating and listening
  • Interested in gardening
  • There are no set days and time you’ll be volunteering. This is a flexible volunteering opportunity, where the hours are agreed by you and the person we support.

However, we do ask for a commitment of at least 6 months.
