Due to ongoing growth and expansion my client a large business based in Greater Manchester with a national presence is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Operations and the General Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for managing teams of individuals (both office and field based) and will play the lead role in ensuring a quality service is provided, target revenue is maintained, and costs are kept under budget.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of a division while also implementing strategies to improve service levels and improve efficiency and cost savings throughout the division and company.


  • Ensuring revenue targets are achieved
  • Management and first point of contact for operatives and office staff- emphasis on clear communication and documenting direction
  • Responsible for assisting all logistics, operations, fleet & business development
  • Ensuring post service, the appropriate information is sent back to the customer in a timely manner, and where applicable reports are fully compliant with the TR19 (grease extract services)
  • Completing weekly operative handovers for the de-brief and brief
  • Account Manager for key accounts
  • Hold regular team briefings, investigatory and disciplinary meetings, 1 on 1’s and employee reviews
  • Payroll for Hygiene Operatives
  • Management of customer complaints
  • Understanding and writing new policies and procedures
  • Ensuring complete process from opportunity to survey to quote to advisory date to service to PSR to billing is actioned efficiently and suggestions are made for improvements
  • Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry or similar related field
  • Post- secondary school education
  • Strong leadership, management, motivational and organisational skills
  • Possess a positive attitude and willingness to adapt to new things
  • Excellent oral, written, cross functional and interpersonal communication skills that are appropriate for various levels, including management, staff, suppliers, clients and customers
  • Hold a full and valid UK Licence
  • Be able to attain a DBS certificate
  • Computer literate with a knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases
  • Be able to plan, execute and prioritise workload
  • Strong problem solver and planner with analytical ability
