An exciting senior management opportunity within our restructured Group Finance Team, based in Northampton. As part of the senior leadership team you will take responsiblity for reporting the ALD Automotive Group financial results whilst also providing outlook and commentary to the ALD Executive Committee, Société Générale Bank, and External Stakeholders.
Provide leadership to ensure group financial reporting is successfully delivered to all stakeholders.
Maintain and evolve the group accounting policies.
Working closely with subsidiaries to improve the IFRS reporting and ensuring the quality of accounting data.
Motivate & develop the accounting department.
Summary of Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for delivery of accurate financial accounting reporting to all stakeholders within the deadlines.
Responsible for the financial reporting element and ALD consolidated accounts within the Group's annual report.
Ensuring that appropriate internal controls exist and are monitored on a regular basis ensuring the quality of the reporting .
Proactively identify and promote areas of business opportunity and concern.
To promote best practice in accounting issues & reporting across the Group, to include ensuring appropriate training when required.
Confidently communicate with the Reporting Teams in the business units, ALD SA and Société Générale concerning on going reporting and accounting issues.
Managing both internal & external auditors
Provide support to the Deputy Group CFO's as required.
Responsible for keeping up to date with relevant IFRS changes and how they could impact the Group.
Motivation, management and development of the Group Accounting Team.
Provide support to FP&A team within the department.
Adhere to regulatory requirements and to ensure success at audit.

Maintain the highest level of confidentiality; housekeeping; and to ensure that personal behaviour and attitude reflects the essence of ALD and the core values.
Undertake relevant training as provided by the company.
Ensure compliance with approved company, statutory and regulatory policies / procedures
Professional Accountancy Qualified Status (ACCA / ACA) with an exceptional understanding of Accounting Concepts and Practices.
Minimum of five years post qualification experience.
Team management experience.
Experience of dealing with external auditors
